DFDS FleetThe two main business areas of the group are: DFDS Tor Line, which operates freight services and ports in the North Sea and Baltic and DFDS Seaways. The latter area of the business concentrates on passenger-carrying services in the North Sea and Kattegat, as well as DFDS Canal Tours based in Copenhagen.
DFDS Seaways currently has seven modern passenger ships in its fleet, with a total capacity of 9,000 passengers and 2,500 cars. Annually, DFDS transport close to 2 million passengers and 200,000 cars! The demand has naturally lent itself to DFDS Seaways increasing its fleet to cope with demand and DFDS has recently purchased the ‘Princess of Norway’ and ‘King of Scandinavia’ to replace older vessels still in service in its fleet.
DFDS Seaways offers eight different product concepts to its customers: Mini Cruises, Groups, Conferences, City-to-City Breaks, Skiing Holidays, Transport Options with and without car and International Tourists. DFDS Seaways strives to provide the best in luxury sailing for all its concepts and passenger carrying services in a safe and secure environment. Being a member of the Passenger Shipping Association (PSA) and thus a member of PSA's Consumer Protection Scheme shows that DFDS is committed to safety.
