Emeraude Lines

Emeraude Lines connect the Channel Islands (Jersey and Guernsey) with France, using St Malo in Brittany as the main base of operations. The company was established in 1904, to transport passengers and cargo along the 'Emerald Coast' of Brittany, in northern France. Today the company has offices both in St Malo and St Helier in Jersey.

The company has since merged with other ferry companies to create the current Emeraude Line. Emeraude Travel, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Emeraude Lines, specialises in holidays in France and the Channel Islands and is able to offer ferry passengers a bundled service by providing hotel accommodation at their final destination, transfers and/or package deals for their entire trip.

Safety is an important part of Emeraude Lines' business and the company was proud to receive membership of the new safety management standard, the ISM Code (International Safety Management) in 1997. Safety, speed (with its super fast fleet of ferries), and comfort are made priorities at Emeraude Lines.
