Useful Information
Port of Seydisfjordur

This Icelandic fishing town is located on an impressive stretch of coastline and still has many 19th-century wooden houses around the town. Seydisfjordur is also the port city for the Norrona passenger ferry, which crosses to the Faroe Islands, the Shetland Islands, Denmark and Norway. Seydisfjordur fjord is long and narrow and surrounded by high mountains, offering one of the best natural harbours in the country.
The Port in eastern Iceland has some limited passenger services, including public telephones and toilets near the docking area. There are also a number of nearby shops in the area.
