Useful Information
Port of St. Margaret's Hope

Today's St Margaret's Hope is the third largest town in the Orkney Islands and sits at the head of a sheltered bay at the northern end of South Ronaldsay. The village has become a busier place since the opening of a car ferry link to Gills Bay near John o' Groats .
The village offers a good range of places to stay and eat, with the Creel Restaurant offering excellent food. While there are limited facilities at the port, there are a number of shops within walking distance. Pentland Ferries who operate on this route also provide onboard facilities including a comfortable cafeteria and a pleasant outer deck area.
