Port of Trieste

Located on the northern coast of the Adriatic sea, Trieste is a fine Italian city with a long maritime history. An international port since its foundation in 1719, it is now a highly modern functional facility, with passenger ferries sailing from the port to Pula in Croatia and Patras in Greece. Its close proximity to Slovenia and the Istrian Peninsula (Croatia) makes it a strategically important port.

Port facilities include a passenger terminal called the Stazione Marittima, where you will find public telephones, toilets and a convenience store. Other facilities include a coffee shop and departures lounge.

The passenger terminal is wheelchair-friendly and provides toilets for disabled persons, while both ferry lines also cater for those with disabilities. Passengers are recommended, however, to inform staff of any special needs when making their reservations.
