Useful Information
Port of Turku

The Port of Turku was founded on a natural trading post at the mouth of the River Aura, and has played a pivotal role in the development of this Swedish city. Over four million passengers call at Turku port annually, travelling to Stockholm and Kapellskär in Sweden or the Åland islands. For centuries Turku has acted as the commercial bond between Finland and the rest of Europe, making it one of the most important shipping ports in Finland and Scandinavia.
There is a well-equipped ferry terminal in the harbour, with a cafe (open Mon-Fri 07.30 - 14.00), children's playground (on the ground floor), ATM and lockers. There are no banking facilities or currency exchange services available however.

Facilities for the disabled are good, with elevators available in the terminal building and in the gangway. Wheelchairs are also available upon request, while passengers will find disabled toilets on both floors of the terminals. Those with special needs or who require assistance in boarding should inform staff when making their reservation.
