Brittany Ferries MV Pont Aven - Further Ferry Information

M/V Pont-Aven is a large, modern cruiseferry operated by Brittany Ferries. She was built at Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany and has been sailing for Brittany Ferries since March 2004. She is the current Brittany Ferries flagship. Pont-Aven's layout is similar in many respects to that of another Brittany Ferries vessel, M/V Bretagne. Pont Aven offers passengers some of the best facilities available on modern cruise ferries anywhere in the world.

Regular routes served by Brittany Ferries' flagship, the Pont Aven, are Plymouth – Santander, Plymouth – Roscoff, Roscoff – Cork, Portsmouth – Santander and Portsmouth – St Malo. In addition to her regular routes Pont-Aven has seen occasional use between Plymouth and St Malo, Plymouth and Cherbourg and Portsmouth and Cherbourg. In most cases these were position moves during the winter though passengers and freight were carried.

The Pont Aven is the largest vessel in the Brittany Ferries fleet and is also the largest ferry operating from the South coast of England. The Pont-Aven offers superb facilities that have been likened to those found on cruise ships. Some of the most notable feature on the vessel include an open deck swimming pool and a striking five deck high atrium with panoramic lifts.
