Poole is a large coastal town and seaport in Dorset on the south coast of England. The town is 20 miles east of Dorchester, and Bournemouth adjoins Poole to the east. Poole is a tourist resort, attracting visitors with its large natural harbour, history, the Poole Arts Centre and award-winning beaches. Cherbourg-Octeville is a commune in the Manche department in Normandy in northwestern France. It was formed when the city of Cherbourg absorbed Octeville on February 28, 2000, and was officially renamed Cherbourg-Octeville.
